WE MUST RISE UP!
So, at this point I'm on a 36 hour sleep schedule and averaging about 4-5 hours of sleep when I do sleep (thanks for keeping track Fitbit). And you may have noticed that we've been pumping out shirts, paintings and bumper stickers lately. And no, it is not to support a hidden heroine habit... the skinniness comes from being too busy to eat or just not having the stomach for it when I'm frustrated with the world and the abuse we heap on living beings (both human and non-human). Rather, the hope is that eventually our Etsy store will fund a constant state of traveling the country attending protests, giving talks anywhere vegans or non-vegans will listen about how the time for patience has past, and basically being a regular Gandalf of veganism. And I was reading a post by Lovlena Raman today saying how she has a hard time getting people to join in protests or activism efforts and it just made me that much more determined to figure out how I can take my full time activism on the road. We must be heard and to do this, we have to get out there in large numbers and show we aren't going anywhere and that animal abuse is not something one should cure themselves of gradually. It is the proverbial bandage that need be ripped off in an instant. Killing and abusing animals is wrong. Period. There is no middle ground. I fully accept that when I was eating animals, I was a shitty person. I'm so glad that I was able to graduate to former shitty person that devotes his life to making things right for animals. Once the abuse and torture that animals face is pointed out to someone and the self-evident truth that animals deserve the same rights to life, liberty and pursuing their happiness is explained, there is no waiting for that person to come to terms with things or adjust to giving up old favorite foods. Just as we would not tolerate someone murdering or abusing our children while gradually trying to stop, neither should we accept this gradual reduction in abuse towards animals. I can see no philosophically convincing argument showing why a human life holds any more value than an animals.
If you doubt that 12-18-21 is even possible (the date that millions of vegans will march on Washington, D.C.), I'll at least advise you to not bet against us. When I get something in my head, the only thing that can stop me is a bullet in a key location on my body, maybe a few bullets. I don't burn out, I don't back down, and the more brick walls I hit, the more determined I get.
So, I have no desire to make money off my art for any kind of personal gain. I just want to fund the major ass whopping I'm planning to give animal abuse and exploitation and unfortunately we are up against billion dollar companies, so having financial resources is helpful. So, please know that every penny of profit that isn't donated to sponsor animals at Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary goes directly towards my fight for animal rights.
And second, the time has come for compromise and patience to be replaced with an unequivocal demand for animal rights now! There is no excuse for continuing to abuse animals or allow it to continue. We can and will put an end to it! 12-18-21 is so much more than a date on a calendar.
12-18-21 is a promise to animals that this will not drag on forever.
12-18-21 is a threat to those who would seek to continue to profit of the murder and abuse of sentient beings that their days are numbered. They will stop or we will make them stop abusing animals.
12-18-21 is a dream that we are all going to make a reality by working together and putting this most important of issues dead center in the minds of people across the world. The issue that all lives matter!
Join me! Recruit people to the event, help plan how to make this the turning point in animal rights history and let us finally bring an end to the injustices that seem too awful to be truly happening, and too numerable to be ignored or tolerated any longer! This event does not belong to one person, a group of organizers, or anything like that. It is a day owned by all vegans in which together we will reshape history.
