"I suddenly feel like eating some bacon."
Yes, looking at Millie made some middle aged man feel the need to say those words when I took Millie out to Colonial Williamsburg today. I asked him if he felt better self-identifying as a piece of shit human being rather than having to hide it.
The good news is a lot of kids and some adults made the connection out loud by saying how they didn't want to eat bacon any more or that they agreed it is not okay to eat animals. And this more than made up for the one idiot.
Still, I'm just amazed that humans think acting like such jerks in public is okay just because they feel threatened by compassion. How truly sad must someone be to feel the need to act like this?
